      Corey Rose's Annual Charity Concert
      05/31/16 - Denver Firefighters Local 858
      Brothers and Sisters, Corey Rose's Annual Charity Concert is quickly approaching.  This year's event will be held June 4th.  Please see the attached flyer for more information.  One of the bands playing this year is Local 858's very own 9s a Pair.  Half of the proceeds from this event will go to the CPFF Foundation.
      Firefighter Edward Conway Honored 100 Years After Passing

      On Sunday May 29, 2016 a special ceremony was held at our fallen firefighters statue adjacent to fire headquaters.  This ceremony was held to honor the 100 th anniversary of the line of duty death of firefighter Edward Conway.  Firefighter Conway passed on February 4, 1916, the details can be found in the LINE OF DUTY DEATHS page on our website.

      Jim Kottage, 3rd District Vice President of the Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters Association of Connecticut was honored Thursday, May 26, 2016 by the Saint Bernadette Catholic School 1st Annual Heroes Award at Amarante's Sea Cliff in New Haven.  Kottage received the award along with Sixteen other members of the New Haven Community.

While attending the National Labor College (NLC) pursuing his bachelor’s degree in labor studies, NLC announced it was closing its doors in the spring of 2014.

      Local 21 regrets to announce the passing of retired Firefighter Ray Kunzer.  Firefighter Kunzer started with the Saint Paul Fire Department on February 6, 1956 and retired on March 9, 1976.  Ray passed on May 21, 2016.       WALLINGFORD — The fire department has recently taken measures to prevent harmful toxins associated with fire responses from affecting the health of firefighters. Trucks and engines were recently equipped with a pack of Rescue Wipes, a wipe designed for firefighters that cleans skin which has been exposed to toxins associated with fires, according to the product’s website.
